Daisy F. Lazarous, MD, FACC - Cardiologist - MedStar Health Women's Specialty Center

Daisy F. Lazarous, MD, FACC, is the Director of the Women's Cardiovascular Program at MedStar Heart Institute. The program brings comprehensive cardiovascular care to women in the Washington metropolitan area, and tailors aggressive risk-management programs for woman at risk for or diagnosed with heart and vascular disease. Dr. Lazarous has a particular interest in a holistic approach to preventing heart disease in women. She is also involved in researching gender and racial disparities in disease. Dr. Lazarous is a member of the Women in Cardiology Council of the American College of Cardiology. In addition to her responsibilities at the Heart Institute, Dr. Lazarous is an associate professor in the Division of Cardiology at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. She previously was an assistant professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
